A senior Congress leader has resigned as a minister in the Omar led coalition government over the issue of regularization of daily wagers in Public Heath Engineering, Irrigation and Flood & Control Departments, saying National Conference dithered to push the case in Cabinet only because the majority of likely beneficiaries belonged to the Jammu region. When similar charges were being made by Jammu based parties in the past, the Congress would openly confront the allegations and ridicule those making these.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the Jammu based leaders and ministers of all the so-called mainstream parties to compromise on the interest of their region just to keep their Kashmir centric bosses in good humour?
