PRIDE OR SHAME
In run up to ensuing elections, the coalition ministers are on a wooing spree in a big way. Minister for Public Enterprises, Haj and Aquaf, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has handed over appointment letters to 86 contractual teachers in three zones of his home district or may be constituency without specifying how these appointments have taken place and what criteria had been fixed, as the orders were distributed amid pomp and show, ignoring normal administrative channels. This seems to be a bizarre exercise in a State which is grappling with vexed unemployment problem.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for politicians to consider the State their fiefdom and act in a kingly fashion?
