REASI: Akhnoor Arrows and Reasi Nightingales won respective matches in kho-kho while Youth Cricket Club Doda defeated Chenab Champions Akhnoor in cricket on the second day of the ongoing Pir Panjal Knights Premier League (PPKPL), played at Zorawar Singh Stadium, Reasi.
In first kho-kho match played on Saturday, Akhnoor Arrows defeated Team Phillar by nine points while Reasi Nightingales outplayed Sunderbani Scorchers in second match by 11 points.
Shivali Sharma was adjudged the best player of the day for her outstanding performance.
In cricket match, Youth Cricket Club, Doda defeated Chenab Champions Akhnoor with a margin of 52 runs.
For Youth Cricket Club, Doda, Master Aamir smashed quick 46 runs to secure a daunting target of 138 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
In reply, the Chenab Champions could not face the pacers, led by Imran who bowled with authority, did not allow them to build partnerships. The Champions Akhnoor played very well but could score only 86 runs. For all-round performance, Roman Sharma was adjudged as Man of the Match.
