POWERGRID charges new 6.3MVA 33/11kV Receiving Station in Pulwama

SRINAGAR: In a major milestone for strengthening the distribution system in Pulwama District, 6.3MVA 33/11kV Receiving Station located at Charipora in Pulwama district has been successfully charged by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) on Saturday.
With this charging, the receiving station is now fully operational. The operation of the receiving station shall alleviate power shortages and enhance the overall electricity supply network in the district.
With the Receiving Station now being operational, communities can look forward to improved access to reliable and quality electricity, fostering growth and development in the area.
The station is part of the Additional PMDP Rural scheme being implemented by POWERGRID as Project Implementing Agency (PIA) on behalf of JKPDD.
This achievement marks a significant step forward in addressing the power woes of the area. The Receiving Station has been completed as part of the centrally sponsored scheme, PMDP(R) Additional, in Pulwama district.
The station features a single 3-phase transformer with a capacity of 6.3MVA. Additionally, it includes four 11kV outgoing lines, strategically designed to meet the long-standing power demands of the villages including Pakherpora, Charipora, and Ziyarat Shareef.
POWERGRID has been contributing in improving the Power infrastructure of J&K, and this is the third major POWER infrastructure building by POWERGRID in J&K within last ten days after successful Charging of Ramban-Khilani Transmission line and Charging of 220/33 kV GIS Haripora (Harwan) Substation.
POWERGRID, Northern Region -II with headquarter in Jammu is having its Transmission System spread over in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, parts of Haryana and UT of Chandigarh, Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
