PAGD representatives possess all qualifications for being jailed: Dr Darakhshan
SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party Spokesperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has reacted very sharply to the involvement of almost all major opposition leaders associated with so called PAGD in scams of different natures being unearthed by the investigating agencies regularly now.
While speaking to the party workers of south Srinagar area on Wednesday, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that from Cricket Board scam, to Bank scam, to Roshni scam, Hawala links to encroachment of the forest land and government properties and Waqf scam etc are mere the tips of the iceberg.
“This is the contribution of their so called long political legacy and the autonomy and self-rule of which they were talking for seven decades and looting the public resources for their personal luxury,” said Dr Darakhshan.
She said that now the pot of their misdeeds is full to the top and it has started pouring out.
“As a people, we have allowed these extortionists and looters to vandalize our resources but now no more leases can be extended to these political criminals. They have acted as the enemies of the people and are still not ready to change. Their political frustration and confusion can is seen by their statements and speeches,” said Andrabi.
Dr Darakhshan appealed to the J&K Administration to tough and fearlessly against those who have encroached public land demolish the structures erected on encroached land.
The promptness in punishing the culprits will help establish the faith in rule of law in J&K and also earn public trust in the administration.
She also demanded that these elite culprits should be treated like common criminals.
“The beneficiary list of Roshni Act published by the government shows that no common man had been benefited by this biggest land scam of modern times. It had benefited the political class, the bureaucrats associated with these corrupt politicians and the elite of the society only,” said Andrabi.
