POONCH: Poonch-XI and Young Cricket Club (YCC) Poonch registered win the respective league matches of the ongoing Police Martyrs T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Poonch under Civic Action Programme at Government Degree College Ground, here on Friday.
In the first match of the day, Poonch-XI outplayed Chandak Cricket Club by 36 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Poonch-XI scored 129 runs which in reply Chandak Cricket Club could not chase and manage to score 93 runs thus lost the match 36 runs.
In another match, YCC Poonch registered a comfortable 103-run win over Mangnar Cricket Club (MCC). Mangnar Cricket club won the toss and elected to field first. YCC Poonch set a target of 168 runs which in reply Mangnar Cricket Club failed to chase and scored only 65 runs.
