POONCH: Five players from District Poonch selected for 40th Junior National Kyorugi and 13th Junior National Poomsae Taekwondo Championships to be held at Shimoga, Karnataka.
J&K Taekwondo Association held selection trails for the same recently at Jammu. The players were sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
President JKTA, Rajesh Pangotra, General Secretary JKTA, Ramesh Chander Sharma, President Poonch District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) Makhan Lal Bhaglal, Joint secretary PDTA Amit Sharma and General Secretary PDTA Taranpreet Kaur congratulated the selected players and ensured proper support from the association.
All the selected players were imparted Training by Rajinder Singh (NIS Taekwondo Coach/ National Referee and Black belt holder presently working in Department of Youth services and Sports).
Selection Players: Manpreet Kour (52 kg), Khalid Jabeen (46 kg), Akarshit Sudan (51 kg), Vishvas Sudan (63 kg) and Vishnu Raina (Group Poomsae).
