POONCH : The Poonch Police in coordination with army authorities is actively involved in the rescue operation in the flash flood tragedy.
Eleven persons trapped in different places were rescued by the police teams which include 8 persons from Azad Mohalla who were stranded at a raised place amid the violent flood water were pulled by the Police Jawans by stretching ropes under the direct supervision of SSP Shamsheer Hussain Choudhary . Similarly three persons trapped in Mandi Khet were also pulled and rescued in the absence of Helicopter service due to constant rain.
The SSP deputed all the police officers including SDPOs and SHOs to man the control rooms at different places for launching rescue operations.
