Police organises relief/rehabilitation programme

Jammu: Continuing its efforts to provide a sigh of relief to the recent flood victims, Jammu Police distributed relief material to flood victims at different jurisdictions of Jammu District .
District Police Jammu on Wednesday distributed the food material (5kg rice bags) among the flood affected victims in the Philian Mandal area. SP South Jammu, SDPO South and Inspr. Karan Chalotra along with his team distributed the material personally among the affected people.
Similarly , In continuation to the ongoing relief and rehabilitation mission of Jammu Police, Akhnoor Police headed by Naresh Singh, SDPO Akhnoor assisted by SHO Akhnoor Bharat Sharma distributed relief material like clothes, eatables, i blankets and other house-hold items in Garkhal border village of Akhnoor Tehsil.
Meanwhile, police removed the heaps of the debris (Malba) from the submerged houses at lower Bhagatpur and Sandwan flood affected areas by the special relief/rehabilitation team in collaboration with Police Station Domana and Police Post Poni Chak.
Special teams were headed by Inspr Naveen Angral and SHO Police Sttaion Domana/Incharge Police Post, Poni Chak under the supervision of SDPO Domana and SP Rural, Jammu.
Moreover, In an effort to extend all possible help and assistance to the flood affected people of Sub Division R.S Pura various activities were undertaken. In this endeavour SHO R S Pura Inspr Deepak Jasrotia and special police team headed by Inspr Abid Rafique launched cleanliness drive and cleaned Hr.Sec. School R S Pura and also school and hospital in Village Kadyal. In another drive the road in Chandu Chack area was repaired with the active support of public.
In the jurisdiction of PS Arnia, High School Arnia and Hr. Sec. School Arnia were cleaned by the police special team headed by Inspr Bhushan Singh Manhas in collaboration with Police Station Arina.
