JAMMU: President Paryas Multipurpose Co-Operative Limited (PMCL), M.L Gupta announced new office bearers in the general body meeting, here on Saturday.
Dharshan Lal Chowdery has been appointed as Chairman of PMCL, Koshal Kumar-Vice-Chairman, Suman Kapil-Secretary, S.K Jain, M.L. Chohan, Indra Rathore and Sehdev Singh have been nominated as its Members.
The members took a decision to work hard for the enhancement of membership and share capital so that the balance sheet of 2016-17 should move for Co-operative Bank permission.
The members also accorded farewell the outgoing Chairman and Founder member of Paryas, Bikram Singh. Dr. Jaswant Singh was also present on the occasion. The body also passed the induction of two new Directors namely Parnish Mahajan and Punit Mahajan by replacing Krishan Lal Aggarwal and Balwinder Singh. All the other directors shall remain as it is.
Further stress was laid to the increase of membership and it has been declared that every director has to give at least 25 new members to the society in the year 2017-2018.
The house also discussed the balance sheet of the Paryas. It was brought out that the organization started in 2012 with a working capital of Rs 4.5 lakh which has now grown up to Rs 63 lakh. During this year the Paryas has earned a profit of Rs 61,000 and has paid income tax also accordingly. It was also decided that the Paryas will give dividends to the members having more than five shares. Speakers further said that Paryas grants loan also to the needy people at an interest lower than any other bank.
