PM should hold dialogue with Pak to end border tension: Madan

AKHNOOR: Senior Congress leader Madan Lal Sharma on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to shun rigidity and hold dialogue with Pakistan in order to defuse tension along the Indo-Pak border.
“Prime Minister must shun rigidity and hold dialogue with Pakistan and ask them not to fire on our side so that border residents can lead a safe and sound life,” Sharma said while addressing a rally in Akhnoor border belt of Jammu.
“The border residents are living under fear as stray incidents of cross border firing continue to make their life difficult and miserable,” Sharma said.
He also demanded that as the border residents were living an uncertain life, they along with their property, cattle and crop must be brought under an insurance cover.
