JAMMU: Press Information Bureau Jammu, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organised a webinar on “Covid19 Vaccination; Issues and Challenges” in order to generate awareness about various issues regarding development of COVID-19 vaccine, distribution and supply chain issues, delivery dynamics. The webinar also focussed on implementation strategies in UT of Jammu and Kashmir. In her opening remarks, Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, PIB said that PIB and ROB are actively generating awareness about the Covid19 pandemic issues , safety, policy guidelines and vaccination related awareness as being discussed in Webinar series- Living with Covid19. Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu explained various types of Covid19 vaccines, status of the development and different phases of the clinical trials. Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Managing Director, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation said that the hospitals in J&K are better equipped, health workers are being efficiently trained and the logistics and supply chain management as well as procurement is being effectively managed.
