PHE daily wagers warn to stop water supply

JAMMU: The daily rated, ITI trained and CP workers of PHE Department on Monday staged a protest in support of their demands at BC Road office complex of the department here.
A large number of workers, under the banner of All J and K PHE, ITI Trained and CP Workers Association, headed by its Provincial President, Tanveer Hussain assembled at BC Road office and started protest against the higher authorities.
The agitating workers were raising slogans in support of their demands including regularisation, timely and regular payment of their wages and enhancement in rate of their daily wages.
They warned that if their demands are not considered by the government they will stop water supply in Jammu province from 15th September onwards and the government shall be responsible for the consequences.
Tanveer alleged that despite assurance by the higher ups, their demands have not been addressed.
Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Manjeet Singh, Jeevan Singh, Pawan Kumar, Subash Kumar Sharma, Tilak Raj, Arun Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Banu Partap, Toffan Singh, Nissar Ahmed, Altaf Hussan, Sat Paul, Romi Verma, Sahzab, Sakoor, Ashok Kumar, Maqbool Hussan, Farooq Ahmed, Raffo Ahmed, Soan Chowdary, Kuldeep, Bhushan, Dhani Ram , Shokat Chib Junid, Ahmed, Vickar Ahmed, Sushil Kumar and Sanjay Kumar were present in the demonstration.
