JAMMU: “Undeterred by the outcome of visit of All Party Delegation (APD) headed by Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh to Kashmir Valley, efforts initiated to end stalemate and restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir State must continue.
Continuing with its efforts to dawn peace in the State for which incumbent Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is leaving no stone unturned, both State as well as Central Government must ensure honourable and dignified life to people to win their hearts.”
This was stated by PDP leader, Abdul Hamid Choudhary who added that ‘Restoration of Peace’ must be made a continuous process for which late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed too had done his best. He while ensuring transparency in the system of governance had strongly advocated a dialogue with all stake holders, be it anyone on either sides of the border. He was a strong messenger of peace whose ideologies are being followed by PDP even today.
“The Valley has suffered a huge loss in terms of lives and finances. While lost lives are irreparable losses, this unrest must end here itself. The way Coalition Government is continuing with its efforts to restore peace, Centre too must keep adding on to it and act like a catalyst to boost peace process. There is no alternative to a meaningful dialogue which is also being advocated by Mehbooba Mufti who even has gone a step ahead by making the same ‘unconditional’,” Hamid said.
The PDP leader said that Party Chief, Mehbooba Mufti is making sincerest efforts to restore peace, talk to her own State subjects, seek socio-economic developmental packages for Jammu and Kashmir, ensure equitable development of all three regions of the State, give a transparent government, give a healing touch to affected families and above all build an atmosphere of trust wherein talks of building good relations with neighbours are also initiated for which people and politicians must cooperate.
Those misleading youth, Hamid said are doing no good to the State. We have suffered a lot and time has come to end this stalemate and restore peace in the Valley so as to pave a way for dignified life for commoners, he said, adding that in the meantime utmost restraint must be adopted by all sides till peace is restored in the State.
