R S PURA: Large number of people of RS Pura including women led by Senior Congress leader Mohan Choudhary, held a strong protest against the CAPD Department for hoodwinking the consumers for the last two months.
Mohan Choudhary said that the department in the name of preparing new ration cards on the pretext of rectifying the shortcomings and omissions, has prepared totally incorrect ration cards. He said that ration card is an important document and its correctness has great significance but the department showed no seriousness to collaborate with the Revenue Department and prepare these ration cards correctly.
The protesters further said that the department which failed to issue ration for the last two months, has started issuing wheat instead of Atta which has put the consumers in an akward situation to go to Atta Chakis with less quantity which is not accepted by the Chaki owners.
Mohan Choudhary who hailed the Governor for taking liberal view of the consumer’s difficulties and increasing the quota of ration, appealed to him to issue strict instructions to the CAPD department to be responsible towards the consumers and issue ration according to the laid down schedule and revised scale. He also urged the department to take action to rectify the mistakes in the ration cards.
