BHADARWAH: To show their resentment over the statement of MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohd Saroori, who has reportedly opened a front against the decision of State Government for giving Additional District status to Bhadarwah, PDP workers under the leadership of District Youth President Sajid Mir, held a protest march at Bhadarwah on Wednesday.
Dozens of PDP workers and office bearers after holding a meeting at Dak Banglow Bhadarwah, started a protest march against MLA Inderwal and in support of government decision.
The procession which started from Dak Banglow, passed through Green Colony, Chinote, Pasri Bus Stand, Jamia Masjid, Sadar Bazaar and Takiya Chowk before holding a rally at historic Seri Bazaar, where prominent leaders of District Youth body and parent organisation of PDP addressed their supporters.
“The motive of today’s rally is to show our resentment is against so called leader of Chenab Valley and sitting MLA of Inderwal Ghulam Mohd Saroori, who has been spitting venom against Bhadarwah and Collation Government since administrative upgradation of Bhadarwah to Additional District,” said Sajid Mir PDP Youth President.
“We are unable to understand why he is poking nose in the matter, which is none of his business as his constituency is on left bank of Chenab and he has got nothing to do with Bhadarwah constituency as it is located on the right bank,” Sajid added.
“It is evident from his statements that Saroori has some ulterior motive behind his utterances as he wants to create a wedge and is sowing the seeds of hatred and regionalism between the people of Bhaderwah and Bhallesa, which is nothing more than desperation and negative politics, “said Irshad Lawai, PDP Zonal General Secretary adding that 90 per cent of people from Bhallesa are in favour of upgrading of Bhadarwah from Sub Division to Additional District and are more than happy to be a part of newly created additional district.
Prominent among those who addressed the rally include Zonal President Thakur Yudhvir Singh, Zonal General Secretary Irshad Lawai, Youth Vice President Gandoh Ghulam Rasool, Shoket Malik Idrees Malik, K.K. Kotwal and Tehseen Dev.
