PDP on nerves anticipating imminent defeat: Vijay Laxmi Dutta
STATE TIMES NEWS
NAGROTA: Assailing Peoples Democratic Party for its malicious campaign against National Conference, Provincial President Women Wing, Vijay Laxmi Dutta on Tuesday described the outburst of Mehbooba Mufti as sign of desperation in view of writing on wall about her party’s imminent defeat in the ensuing elections.
“PDP stands exposed for its dubious agenda and anti-people machinations”, Dutta said while addressing several election meetings at Urkhal, Bajalta, Sunisar, Chilla and Dhami in Nagrota Assembly constituency.
Dutta said that PDP can hoodwink the public opinion once or twice but not all the times. “Since the party has miserably failed to convince electorate about its efficacy because of its New Delhi origin, the party leadership has resorted to rhetoric and malicious propaganda against the National Conference”, she said.
The Women Wing Provincial President said that the divisive parties like PDP have been exploiting the public sentiment by inciting their passions adding that they must not underestimate the sagacity of the people who see between the lines. “Outstanding performance of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been perturbing them while going to people, as they did virtually nothing during brief spell of power between 2002 and 2005”, she maintained.
Dutta cautioned the people against forces which are determined to create wedge between the people for furthering their petty political agenda. “By indulging in falsehood and vicious propaganda, the PDP is exposing itself before the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh”, she said.
Dutta exhorted the people, especially the women to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and the Chief Minister for carrying forward the developmental agenda with renewed vigour. She expressed confidence that the people of Nagrota will elect Devender Singh Rana with huge margin.
