JAMMU: Pankaj of Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri won men’s inter-college cross country event, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here on Monday.
The second place went to Lal Chand of GDC Samba while Haroon Rashid of GDC Rajouri remained third.
Earlier, the athletes were flagged off for the long distance race by Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. He was accompanied by Balbir Singh Chib, Mandeep Singh, Neelam Chalotra, Mukesh Sharma, Ravi Gupta, Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar, Arjun Singh Jai Bharat and PD Singh.
The event was supervised by Nirmal Singh and Harsimran Singh.
Meanwhile, the women’s Cross Country event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the same venue at 7:30 AM.
