One killed, six injured in accidents

SRINAGAR: One person died while six others were injured in different road accidents in Srinagar and Anantnag.
In Srinagar, a motorcycle bearing registration number DL13C-2757 driven by Ilyas Rehman resident of Rainawari, Srinagar turned turtle at Barzulla Bridge in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sadder, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh resident of Bemina, Srinagar. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.
In Anantnag, a scooter (JKO2AL-2997) driven by Arif Hassan Mir resident of Sangam Kandi Kote hit and injured a minor boy Mohammad Usman Bhat resident of Bidder under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kokernag. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment, wherefrom he was referred to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment.
Meanwhile, a Swift car (ASOIBJ-2483) driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir resident of Batakote hit a motorcycle (DLSAQ-2719) driven by Momin Gulzar Lone resident of Akad at Langalbal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pahalgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and three pillion mates Arif Hussain, Mohammad Umar Bhat, Arif Raina residents of Aayuna Ashmuqam. All the injured persons were shifted to Pahalgam Hospital for treatment, wherefrom they were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment.
Police have registered the cases regarding both the accidents.
