REASI: Police on Wednesday booked a person for distilling liquor and destroyed 305 liters of Lahan which police recovered from his house during the raid.
According to a report, acting on a specific information that one Subash Chander son of Perma Nand resident of Theru Tehsil Pouni District Reasi is indulged in manufacturing and selling of Desi liquor at his home, a police team of Police Station Ransoo headed by Sub Inspector Jasvinder Choudhary, SHO Police Station Ransoo conducted a raid in his house at village Theru Tehsil Pouni and recovered one litre illicit Desi liquor and around 305 litres Lahan from the possession of Subash Chander.
The recovered liquor has been seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot. A case vide FIR No. 07/2016 under section 48-(e) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Ransoo.
