JAMMU: Police has arrested one person and recovered five kilograms of cannabis from his possession in outskirts of Jammu city on Tuesday.
Under Operation Sanjeevani, a police party of Gangyal Police Station headed by Mohammad Hanief during Naka checking at Bandu Rakh intercepted one person and on search five kilogram of cannabis was recovered from his possession
The consignment was recovered and the accused person was arrested, he said, adding a case has been registered under relevant section of law and further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain the source and destination of this consignment.
The whole operation was supervised by SHO Police Station Gangyal and SDPO City South, Sachin Gupta under the directions of SP City South, Shazad Ahmed Salaria.
