JAMMU: The government has ordered deployment of officers in the office of Principal Resident Commissioner J and K, New Delhi on temporary basis to assist the Principal Resident Commissioner J and K, New Delhi in relief and rehabilitation measures being taken up for recent flood victims in the state.
These officers are Charandeep Singh, Additional Secretary to Government Higher Education Department, Puneet Sharma, Additional Secretary to Government, General Administration Department, Soheel Noor Shah, Deputy Secretary to Government. Health and Medical Education Department, Raj Mohammad, Administrative Officer, Office of Financial Commissioner Revenue and Mohit Raina, Under Secretary to Government, Home Department who shall immediately report to the office of Principal Resident Commissioner J and K, New Delhi.
These officers shall function under the direct superintendence of Principal Secretary to Government, Planning and Development Department (Camp Delhi) who shall assign the task (s) to the officers, as may be required in connection with the relief and rehabilitation activities including coordination with the Government of India departments, providing of information to various agencies/organisations, donations in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund etc.
The Principal Resident Commissioner J and K, New Delhi has been asked to install atleast five more telephone lines in the Resident Commission for smooth discharge of the duties. Meanwhile, sanction has also been accorded to travel by air in favour of the above officers to New Delhi.
