JAMMU: To sensitise the mass and to send a powerful message to youth, a Nukkad play ‘Mout Ka Teeka’ was staged by Lalded Women Welfare Society (regd.) in its Saturday series.
Nattu who use to work in a welding shop is a hard worker and is earning a handsome amount of money by dint of his hard labour and leading a happy life. Another character Ramu is a friend of him working on another shop but he is a bit different and always keeping company with drug net-workers and often meet them in the evening time. One day Nattu was busy with his work and suddenly a motorcyclist appeared there and he enquired about Ramu and on saying that he has not come today, he requested Nattu to handover one packet to him which was sealed and said that do not handover to anybody else accept Ramu.
Smelling something fishy Nattu opened the packet and found some injections/drug pills. He misunderstood that there are injections which give extra power to work.
Nattu applied the injection and took some pills which at once took him in a new world and after sometimes he went unconscious. When Nattu did not reach home, his wife Rekha came to workshop and found Nattu completely out of sense. Nattu then was shifted to hospital with the help of others where the doctor confirmed that he has taken drugs injection and his condition is critical and was put under treatment but he could not survive because of heavy dose.
Artists wanted to convey that drugs mafia is containing many precious human lives particularly of youths and we should retain from such activities after helping government agencies who are trying to unearth the drug peddlers. The lead role were played by (Ram Paul) a script writer and Coordinator, Naveenpal Director, and also performed by Barkha Thakur, Santosh Basotra etc.
