JAMMU: Welcoming the statement of Home Minister of announcing recruitment of 10,000 SPOs and recruitment in para-military forces, National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) State President, Thakur Virender Singh asked Central Government to get equal share to Jammu and Ladakh region in said recruitment.
Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Singh said that both the region Jammu and Ladakh have shown peaceful behaviour and never choose the way of violence in spite the fact that both regions have been ignored openly for the last 60 years.
Singh said that Kashmir youth is always in limelight by throwing stones on armed forces and police and in reward special treatment is given to them by announcing special packages and recruitment drive.
He questioned the State leadership that what sin Jammuites have done? Why don’t they get special packages and special recruitment? He said.
Singh lambasted BJP for surrendering everything just for lust of power adding that BJP has pronounced loud slogans in favour of Jammuites but this is really astonishing that none of the BJP MLAs have raised Jammu centric issue.
Singh warned the State Government not to ignore Jammu and Ladakh region in the recruitment process announced by the Union Home Minister at Kashmir otherwise it must get ready to face the consequences.
Others present in the press conference included Rishi Badyal, Anoop Singh, Lovely Singh and Chetan Sharma.
