JAMMU: In order to ensure smooth installation of Artificial Intelligent Lighting system, a team of officers comprising Rajesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner JMC, Nisha Nathyal SSP Traffic Jammu, AEE Electric JMC, representatives of PWD Department and employees of M/s DIMTS, the company entrusted with the job of installation of Artificial Intelligent Lighting system in Jammu city, conducted a tour of different locations within the Jammu city to ensure smooth shifting to the new systems.
On the directions of Commissioner JMC, Ramesh Kumar, the team inspected the newly installed traffic lighting system along the National Highway starting from Greater Kailash upto Qasim Nagar crossing.
The concerned departments were asked to make good the deficiencies, wherever noticed, so that the system is made functional fully in a smooth manner.
The executing agency i.e, M/s DIMTS was asked to relocate the towers where ever the visibility to commuters was not proper. Besides, some towers were of short height and required increase in height which job was entrusted to the executing company.
The PWD (R&B) Department was asked to make minor repairs and putting yellow lines at specified locations on the road. The company was further asked to complete the job of installation of pending lights on an urgent basis.
