New common entrance test positive, negative aspects

Dear Editor,
Everything has a positive as well as negative aspect. I think new common entrance teast is a combination of both positivity and negativity. Its positive aspects are:- Firstly in today’s competitive environment when students enter for PG, it will help them to prepare themselves in advance for competitive field. Secondly in the final year students will surely get benefit from it. But on the other hand, it’s totally non-beneficial for this year students. Last three year students would be their particular subject that is based on previous syllabus. Now overnight a decision comes this year will be the common entrance test. I don’t know, what was the mindset while suddenly taking this decision? Now when one month is left for entrance test, how an arts stream student will study science, mathematics and reasoning. If this new common entrance syllabus had come some months before then it was welcome. But now it is totally injustice with arts stream students though it is beneficial for science stream students. Now when new syllabus is included in entrance test, we all will try to gain new experience and give our best. All we can say is that things are not over yet. So Educational Ministry and university authorities should need to give some relaxation to arts stream students while deciding university seats.
