JAMMU: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) and Dogra Mandal felicitated son of the soil and record three time Everest climber, Lt. Col. Ranveer Singh Jamwal with the Sanstha Samman in a function held here on Monday.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta was the Chief Guest while Chairman, KAWA Group of Institutions, M.S Katoch was Guest of Honour. President, Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, Kanwar Narayan Singh Jamwal presided over the function. President Dogra Mandal, Randhir Singh Raipuria and President, Nami Dogri Sanstha, Dogra Harish Kaila were among others present.
Lt Colonel Ranveer Jamwal from Jammu scaled Mount Everest and became the first officer from the State to achieve the feat for a third time on 19th May, 2016.
His first successful attempt on the summit of the world’s highest peak at 8,848 metres was on 25th May, 2012 and the second time it was on 19th May, 2013.
The MLA Jammu East congratulated Lt Colonel Ranveer Jamwal and his team for the great achievement. Earlier, during the programme, Dr. Chanchal Sharma sang a song on Ranveer Singh Jamwal penned by Randhir Singh Raipuria and composed by Dogra Harish Kaila.
