JAMMU: Exuding confidence about mega victory for National Conference in the ensuing Assembly elections, State Vice President Th Kashmira Singh on Monday said that strong and stable government alone can meet the challenges faced to Jammu and Kashmir.
“Time has come for people to choose a strong government which can take care of their urges”, the State Vice President told a gathering of party workers, saying that National Conference along can satiate their urges.
Kashmira said the past six year of Omar led government stands testimony to the fact that public interest has been guiding force for National Conference.
He said the Chief Minister scripted a saga of success by heralding peace and giving a new dimension to development and progress of all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Vice President said that the policies and programmes of National Conference have been designed keeping in view the urges of every segment of population. In this regard, he made a mention of Sher-e-Kashmir employment scheme that takes care of the educated employed besides identification of vacancies in various government departments for expeditious recruitment. “The idea is to bring cheer in the lives of people, especially the youth, who have an enormous role in socio-economic uplift and development of the State”, he maintained.
He also referred to the revolutionary measures taken by the government in ensuring transparency in the working of administration and giving right of information to the people. He particularly made a mention of Right to Information Act and Public Utility Guarantee Services, which, he said, are actually aimed at making the administration responsible to the people.
While urging the people for extending their full support in developmental and welfare initiatives, Singh hoped that their unflinching support will ensure the victory of National Conference candidates in the ensuing elections.
