POONCH: Poonch Brigade on Thursday flagged in an Educational and Motivational Tour organised under the Sadbhavana initiative. Officiating Commander, Poonch Brigade welcomed and congratulated the enthusiastic children on successful completion of the tour. The ceremony was attended by army officers, civil dignitaries, village heads of the area and parents of the touring children.
The tour which was organised from 8th to 16th March 2016 for 20 children of border villages of Poonch District visited Jaipur, Ajmer and Delhi.
It provided an excellent opportunity for the under privileged and poor children of remote border areas to visit the Pink City, Ajmer and National Capital. During the tour the children visited a number of historical sites at Jaipur, Ajmer and Delhi alongwith the visits to various schools and museums. A memorable travel in the Rajdhani Express, Delhi Metro, visit to Amusement Park and Doordarshan Kendra at Delhi were truly cherished by the children.
