Multi-lingual Literary Fest 2022 held at JKPS Kunjwani with fervour

JAMMU: JK Public School, Kunjwani hosted the mega event Multi-Lingua Literary Fest 2022 under the aegis of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex (JSSC) with great fervour in its sprawling green campus.
A total of 31 renowned CBSE schools, namely, APS Damana, APS Miran Sahib, APS Sunjuwan, APS BD Bari, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Nagrota, APS Kaluchak, APS Ratnuchak, Banyan International School, Birla Open Minds International School, DBN Vidya Mandir, Amarvilla, Doon International School, Jammu, Holy Presentation Convent School, Kathua, IDPS, Jammu, IPS Kidzee Kathua, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua, Jodhamal Public School, JK Public School, Kunjwani, Kartar Public School, Kathua, KC International School, Model Academy, MV International School, Samba, Presentation Convent School, Jammu; Rich Harvest School, RM Public School, Sainik School, Nagrota, Sai International School, Kathua; SNS Vidya Mandir School; Springdales School & Stephen International Public School, Jammu participated in it.
The Literary Fest 2022 format included eight literary genres, namely, Impromptu Orators for Classes XI & XII; Nukkad Natak (Hindi) for classes IX & X; From the Pages of History for Class VIII; Jashn-e-Rekhta (Urdu poetry) for Class VII; English Literary Quiz for Class VI; Tell-A-Tale in English for Class V; Meri Boli, Mere Geet (Dogri) for Class IV and Kaho Kahani (Hindi) for Class III.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp. Ayush Andotra, Diya Sharma & Jasmeet Kaur welcomed the guests.
Rajesh Rathore Principal, JK Public School, Kunjwani in his welcome speech encouraged the participants and laid emphasis on the importance of such literary activities as they provide ample opportunities to students to enhance and sharpen their linguistic acumen. He also highlighted the salient features of Sahodaya activities, as fairness & transparency are the hallmarks of every host school of Jammu Sahodaya.
Principal Rathore lauded the commendable gesture of distinguished guests, namely, KCS Mehta, Mentor Jammu Sahodaya & Academic Director, IDPS Akhnoor; Nirmal Mahna, Former President JSSC; Dr. Deep Khare, Principal, Jodhamal Public School; Dr. Kunal Anand, Vice President JSSC & Principal DPS Udhampur; Dr. Atul Hans, Director IDRS Jammu & Seema Sambyal, Principal The Holy Presentation Convent School, Kathua for sparing their valuable time in the morning hours, when they had either PTMs or other urgent commitments in their schools. All the distinguished invitees addressed the audience, enriched them with their pearls of wisdom and showered their blessings on the participants.
To mark this special day, a token of remembrance was accorded to each Guest of Eminence in the form of a potted Aloe Vera plant, which stands for health, happiness & peace. Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary also graced the occasion and boosted the morale of participants & their mentors.
Shashi Rattan, Vice Principal JKPS briefed the audience of the various activities & venues ear-marked for the Multi-Lingua LIT Fest 2022. After a closely contested session at all the eight venues finally arrived the moments of Judgment, when Roopinder Kour, Associate Vice Principal JKPS announced the much-awaited results.
In Kaho Kahani in Hindi (Class III): Aanya Kotwal from Presentation Convent School stood first, Advik Sharma from KC International School stood second, Saket Singla from RM Public School stood third and Sanvi Gupta from Jodhamal Public School received the Consolation Prize.
In Meri Boli Mere Geet in Dogri (Class IV): Shanaya Sharma from APS Kaluchak bagged first position, Aahana Gupta from Jodhamal Public School bagged second position, Lovisha Sakolia from Springdales Jammu bagged third position and Tavleen Kour of Jammu Sanskriti Jammu got the Consolation prize.
In the event Tell a Tale in English (Class V): Aradhya of APS BD Bari got first prize, Indhaya Verma from Presentation Convent School got second prize, Nyra Kak from KC International School got THIRD prize and Devanshi from Sai International School Kathua won the Consolation Prize.
In English Literary Quiz (Grade VI): Parth Bharti & Arini Srivastava from Jodhamal Public School got the first prize, Tanisha Sharma & Abhimanyu Sharma from APS BD Bari got the second prize, Shreyasi & Anish Veer Singh from Doon International School got the third prize and Chehak Koul & Mrityuanjay from APS Damana won the Consolation Prize.
In Jashan-e-Rekhta (Urdu Shayari) for Class VII: Muneeb Nishan Khan from APS Kaluchak bagged first position, Sammi-Ur-Rehman from JKPS Kunjwani bagged second position, Amir Malik from DBN Vidya Mandir Amarvilla got third position and Ashutosh Sharma from Jammu Sanskriti Jammu won Consolation Prize.
In the event Itihaas ke Panno Se (Class VIII), Nimish Vermani from JK Public School Kunjwani got first prize, Ankit Bhat from Sainik School Nagrota got second prize, Aashvika from APS Kaluchak got third prize and Sahivanshi from Stephen International Public School won the Consolation Prize.
In Nukkad Natak (Class IX/X), APS Kaluchak got the first prize, KC International School stood second, APS Ratnuchak bagged the third prize and APS BD Bari won the Consolation Prize.
In Impromptu Orator (Class XI/XII): Rujuta Sundan from APS BD Bari got first position, Akhil Raj from Sainik School Nagrota stood second, Mahir Bhat from KC International School got third prize and Vipul Yashovardhan from Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu won the Consolation Prize.
Shashi Rattan, Vice Principal JKPS Kunjwani presented the vote of thanks. She appreciated all the participants for their splendid performance. She lauded all the Principals of Jammu Sahodaya for sending their teams and making the event a huge success.
She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest Raj Daluja, Chairman, JK Educational Society and the Guest of Honour Shashi Chaudhary, the Director for gracing the occasion and giving away the prizes to the proud recipients.
She applauded the incredible endeavours of Inderjeet Kour, School Coordinator JKPS & her entire Team for making it a red letter day, which witnessed 418 participants from 31 schools in action.
She also appreciated the Herculean task of the Judges, who were the escort teachers from various schools. The mega even reached its point of culmination with the singing of National Anthem.
