R S PURA: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association organised an Annual Sammelan at Village Jinder Mehlu under the chairmanship of G. R Kaith (Retd.) Deputy Controller Defence Accounts of J and K State in which Romesh Mottan President Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association and senior leader of National Conference was the Chief Guest Dr. Girdhari Lal Mottan Retd. Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Manmeet Kumar Mottan were the Guests of Honour.
Romesh Mottan addressed the huge gathering at Jinder Mehlu and stressed upon unity of the community and children’s education specially girls education.
Mottan further appealed to the people in general and Batwal Community in particular to avoid liquor and drugs.
Romesh Mottan presented awards to the students who got positions / highest distinctions in session 2013-14 in 10+2 and 10th Classes to include Rahul Lakhotra who got 1st Position in Commerce Subject and obtained 93 per cent marks, Neha Kaith who got 5th Position in Non-Medical Subject Session 2014 and others.
G. R Kaith Retd. Deputy CDA thanked the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for giving mandates from ruling National Conference to Romesh Lal Mottan and Satpal Lakhotra.
Prominent among others present include Girdhari Lal Mottan, Retd. CMO Dr. Manmeet Kumar (KAS) Ravi Kaith, Trilok Mottan General Secretary, Thoru Ram Mandi, Vicky Dogra, Sarpanch Manohar Lal, Sarpanch Bahadur Chand, Captain Bachan Lal, Deputy Director Retd. Karnail Dass Targotra, Principal Sham Lal Targotra and B. C Nanda.
