Missing from Nagrota, boy traced at Dalhousie

NAGROTA: Police on Thursday traced a boy of Nagrota at Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh and handed him over to his family. 

According to a report, on October 5, 2017 a written complaint by Sandeep Kumar PGT Chemistry of Sainik School Nagrota received in Police Station that on October 4 in evening Roll Call cadet Alok Sharma student of class XI was found missing from school premises.

Over the complaint, a case vide FIR No. 215/2017  under section 363 RPC was registered and investigation taken-up by SHO Nagrota Inspr. Bhushan Singh Manhas.

After receiving the information regarding Facebook updates from Chandigarh area by the missing boy, police party headed by Inspr Bhushan Singh Manhas SHO Police Station Nagrota rushed to Chandigarh alongwith staff of Sainik School Nagrota,  where thorough search for the missing boy was made with the help of local police and parents of the boy, but no progress was made.

The Cyber Cell Chandigarh, Jammu and CDTS Chandigarh were also requested for the needful assistance, whereby the presence of phone used by the missing boy was seen in Amritsar area. The police party immediately rushed to Amritsar, where with the help of the local police, owner of the mobile was grilled, who disclosed the presence of the missing boy at Amritsar four days earlier. Later, it was found that the said boy has managed to move towards Himachal Pradesh, again with the efforts, the location of missing boy was found at Dalhousie, where the boy was asking for private job. Police rushed to Dalhousie, where the assistance of the local police was sought and the boy got traced/recovered and handed over to parents. The whole search operation was conducted under the close supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashveer Singh Slathia, SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and with the assistance of Superintendent of Police, PC Jammu Vinay Kumar.
