POONCH:Chairman Insaaf Movement Javid Iqbal Reshi taking strong notice of keeping the building of Middle School Palera vacant for over two years and getting perished because of no maintenance, has said that the Education Department is not taking due care of the government assets particularly the school buildings causing great loss to the State.
This building consisting of five rooms was earlier being used as Govt Middle School Palera but due to upgradation of the school as Govt High School, the school was shifted to another building during NC-Congress regime. Chairman of the NGO said that the building which was vacated by school two years back, could be used by any other department or by the Education Department itself to ensure its proper utilisation and avoid loss to the exchequer, but the Chief Education Officer Poonch Lal Hussain declined to respond. Javid Iqbal Reshi appealed to the District Development Commissioner to issue suitable instructions to the concerned department to ensure useful unilisation of the building so as also to ensure its proper repair and maintenance before it gets perished.
