Manohar expresses concern over unprovoked Pak firing

JAMMU: Former Minister and General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Friday expressed concern over the unprovoked firing on the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) by Pakistan army since long and termed it as the worst policy failure of the BJP government on foreign policy front and left the border people helpless in this time of hardship.
“Both the Centre and State Governments led by BJP is not serious to help the affected families residing close to the LoC and IB inspite of huge hue and cry by the general public since long,” he alleged.
Dr Sharma strongly condemned Pakistan Government and its army for crossing all the limits of humanity and kept heavy mortar shelling on the civilians in which number of innocent civilians were killed and rest injured seriously. Dr Sharma said that it has been observed since long that the Pakistan army had planned to disturb the situation by unprovoked heavy shelling during the every harvesting as well as sowing season on the LoC and IB to stop sowing activities. It seems that this act of Pakistan is to destabilize the life and economy of country, he said.
Dr Sharma further criticized the BJP leadership and its ministers who lied to these people several times by making false promises of giving 5 Marla plots on safe location every time when there is border firing but when the mess overs they forgotten what had been said or promised to the these people.
Meanwhile, Dr Manohar Lal also condoled the demise of Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma, veteran Congress leader and former Dy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State.
His contribution to the society as well as J&K state is memorable and will remain in the hearts of the people of all three regions of J&K State, he added. Manohar prayed to God for eternal peace of departed soul and courage to the family.
