KATHUA: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Senior Congress Leader, Former Minister and General Secretary PCC lamented at the BJP for ignoring the genuine demands of the people who are suffering badly due to the casual and non serious approach of its leaders and ministers.
Dr Sharma said that the most of the ministers of BJP has followed a trend to avoid to listen the genuine problems of people as they are incompetent and not concerned about the miseries and sufferings the general public being faced everyday like total failure in power scenario, totally failed in supply of potable drinking water especially in rural and far flung areas. The second essential commodity is ration supply including sugar to the general public which is totally collapsed even after decreasing the quantity of ration, sugar and kerosene.
Dr Sharma pertinently raised the issue of non availability of medicines in the PHCs and CHCs even in district and Tert. Institutions of the state. The doctors are not available to these health centers and the people are forced to go to chemists and other private institutions for even minor treatments. The position of Billawar SDH is worst ever during the tenure of present Coalition Government , nobody is bothered or concerned about the miseries of people and no doctor or medicines is available. The ambulances are in very bad shape and no maintenance has been taken over since long due to which the ambulances are not in working orders. The position is of primary health centres in district Kathua like PHC Ramkote, Uchha Pind, Khog, Bhaddu and Dinga Amb is worst and District Hospital Kathua is very bad and nobody is bothering after hue and cry of general public.
Dr Sharma further said that many residential houses collapsed partially and fully due to the heavy rains in various villages of Billawar, Hira Nagar , Bani and Basohli other area of the State but nobody paid heed to assess the loss accrued and to initiate process for compensation to be paid in lieu. Dr Sharma demanded immediate relief to the partial and fully damaged houses on top priority and immediate rehabitation of the affected families.
Dr Sharma lamented that government for its anti people approach and further blamed the BJP for not providing the relief to the people who give them massive mandate in both elections.
