VIJAYPUR: Continuing election campaign in his Assembly constituency, former minister and contesting candidate of Congress Party from Vijaypur Manjit Singh on Thursday visited various areas of Ramgarh seeking supports in upcoming Assembly elections.
Manjit Singh during his campaign met hundreds of people after visiting villages where he listened to the issues and concern of the general masses.
The people appraised the Congress candidate about various grievances being faced by them and demanded proper drinking water, electricity supply etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh assured the villagers that their concerns would be taken into consideration and resolved while appealing them to vote for him so that underdeveloped areas could be developed.
Meanwhile, Singh was welcomed by hundreds of shopkeepers at Ramgarh. Shopkeepers assured Manjit Singh their support in the upcoming elections.
After hearing the issues of the shopkeepers, Manjit Singh assured that he would develop the market area for the benefit of the business community.
“The market areas have not been developed since last six years. The condition of roads and other facilities have not been provided adequately,” Singh said addressing the business men.
Appealing the business community to vote for Congress, he said, he would develop the area for the benefit of customers and the shopkeepers which was ignored. He informed that when he was MLA Vijaypur he took up various initiatives and developed the area but later Ramgarh faced ignorance.
