JAMMU: Manaya clinched the Sub-junior boys’ singles title outplaying Akhilesh 3-2 in a keenly contested title clash in the ongoing Second Stag Jammu Open Table Tennis Championship, here on Sunday.
The Junior boys’ final was won by Ritvik, who outplayed Ketan in easy straight sets of 11-03, 11-08, 11-09 in best of five game. The Sub-Junior girls’ singles title went to Hargun, who defeated Iknoor 2-1 (11-07, 07-11, 11-06) in the final played. In Junior girls (upto 17 years), Iknoor Kour beat Ashmit Kour 07-11, 11-08, 11-08. Earlier, in the semifinals, Iknoor defeated Archita 06-11, 11-06, 11-05 and Ashmit trounced Hargun (senior) 11-07, 11-09. Meanwhile, in the men’s singles final, Sandeep shall take on Manandeep tomorrow.

Men’s Semifinals: Sandeep blanked Asad 11-08, 11-09, 09-11, 09-11, 11-09; Manandeep trounced Ritvik Gupta 11-08, 09-11, 11-09, 08-11, 11-09. Quarterfinals: Sandeep Khadotra outplayed Ketan 11-07, 11-06, 11-05; Asad downed Ankit 11-08, 11-08, 06-11, 11-08; Ritvik beat Gurvinder 11-05, 11-07, 11-06; Manandeep defeated Vishal 11-09, 11-08, 11-05.
