Mahindra ‘Thar ROXX’ unveiled at Four Showrooms of ASTRO INDIA simultaneously

JAMMU: Astro India Automobile, the authorized dealer for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., launched the much-awaited Thar ROXX across its locations in Bari Brahmana, Narwal, Toph Sherkhania, and Udhampur.
The launch event, attended by a distinguished gathering including Chairman Mohinder Gupta, MD Vikram Mahajan, Director Satyam Gupta, Dr. C.D. Gupta, and the team from Back Yard Customs Jammu, highlighted the vehicle’s arrival as a significant milestone in the SUV market. The Thar ROXX is not just a vehicle but a bold statement in automotive design and engineering. Its striking appearance is defined by a robust long hood and short overhangs, providing impressive approach and departure angles.
This timeless design ensures the Thar ROXX makes a commanding presence on any terrain, establishing itself as ‘THE’ SUV.
Built on Mahindra’s all-new M_GLYDE platform, the Thar ROXX promises a smooth, controlled ride with exceptional handling both on and off the road. This platform is complemented by advanced features such as WATT’s Link suspension, sophisticated shock absorbers, and the segment-first Hydraulic Rebound Stopper (HRS), which together enhance the vehicle’s driving dynamics. The SUV also boasts world-class Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) levels for a serene driving experience.
Under the hood, the Thar ROXX offers two dynamic engine options: the G20 TGDI mStallion and the D22 mHawk, delivering impressive torque outputs of 380 Nm and 370 Nm, respectively. The vehicle comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AISIN torque converter automatic transmission, catering to a range of driving preferences.
Innovative features such as India’s first Crawl Smart Assist and IntelliTurn provide enhanced off-road capabilities and maneuverability. The Thar ROXX is equipped with a Gen II Adventure statistics display, Compass, Roll & Pitch Altimeter, and multiple drive modes including Zip & Zoom and 4XPLOR Terrain Modes (Snow, Sand, Mud), ensuring versatility in challenging environments.
