POONCH: Distressed over the directions of Minister during his visit to Poonch for not holding any election of cross border traders, the mafia traders in connivance with Custodian Poonch are scrambling to achieve their target of secretly conducting elections and installing their own team to rule the roost.
This was stated at the meeting of various traders held under the Chairmanship of Mohd Amin Magrey. He said that these Mafia traders had been illegally trading earlier by following the Pakistani roaster in the Indian territory and depriving hundreds of registered traders of their business.
Magrey said that all the traders deprived of the trade through Chakan-da- Bagh so far, have strongly opposed any such move for elections and said that they will never allow the mafia traders to go against the orders of Minister. They said that the mafia traders are concerned with their own interest whereas in this trade the interest of 303 traders is involved.
Though the Custodian in response to a query, categorically denied to have any role or knowledge for the election of any such traders, yet he is again reminded of the crystal clear instructions of Minister of Industry and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga during his recent visit to Poonch not to hold the elections of traders and instead recognize their five members committee in consultation with DDC Poonch as proposed by all the traders.
The traders again appealed to the Minister of Industry and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga to issue specific instructions to the Custodian Chakan-da-Bagh Poonch not to violate his instructions.
Prominent among others present in the meeting include Imtiaz Salaria, Nishu Gupta, Anil Phool, Ashok Phool, Shehzad Khan, Inderpal Singh and Gurcharan Singh.
