Madan Lal visits border villages

AKHNOOR: Former Member Parliament (MP) Madan Lal Sharma visited the border villages affected by Pakistan’s unprovoked firing including Pargwal, Garkhal, Mala Bela, Rajpura and other areas of Tehsil Akhnoor. Sharma also visited Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor to enquire the well-being of firing victim Dawarka Nath, resident of Mala Bela, who was admitted there for treatment.
Madan told STATE TIMES that the people in border area for the last three months are living under terror due to the continued cease fire violations by the Pakistani forces. He said that the Government of Indian is not taking suitable steps to stop violations of truce by the Pakistani forces and the people on this side of the border continue to suffer losses of life and injuries besides colossal loss to the property.
He urged the NDA Government that the people in the border areas cannot be allowed to suffer due to the excesses on the part of Pakistan. He said that government should take immediate remedial steps in this direction. He also appealed to the local administration to assess the losses incurred by the border people and to provide adequate relief.
Those who accompanied Madan Lal Sharma include Block Congress Committee President Baldev Raj Sharma, Subash Langer, Kishor Kumar, Madan Lal Gupta, Ravinder Sharma and others.
