JAMMU: Annual Machail Yatra will be commenced from Jammu on 17th August 2016 after the Thali Poojan ceremony on 16th august here at Shri Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Pacca Danga.
This was informed by the President Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha J&K Sanjay Gandotra through a handout released here on Saturday.
He informed that thousands of Yatris from Jammu and outside the State shall be participating in the Yatra to seek the blessings of Chandi Mata. “They shall proceed towards Sarv Shakti Shri Chandi Mata Ji Mandir Chinote Bhadarwah, the base camp of the Yatra on 17th August”, he informed adding that the Thali Poojan Ceremony shall be performed on 16th August.
He also informed that a religious procession carrying the pious Thali shall be taken from Sanstha Office/Chandi Bhawan, Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Pacca Danga, Jammu on 17th August will pass through Jain Bazar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Rajinder Bazar, Raghunath Bazar and reach Indira Chowk (Bus Stand) at 7:00 A.M, wherefrom the Yatris shall board the buses towards Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Dhami Nagrota, Jammu via Radio Station Road, Panjtirthi, Jammu. “After paying obeisance there, the Yatra shall proceed towards Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Ji Mandir Chinote, Bhadarwah”, he added.
