JAMMU: Expressing condolence on the untimely demise of Parshotam Lal, Lineman, working at M and RE Division No. 3 of Sub Division No. 1 Jammu while performing his duty, All J and K Electric Department Lineman and Workers Union appealed to the higher authorities of the department to investigate the matter and the guilty person be brought to book.
“It is clear negligence on the part of the of the department as they have not received any information as to who energised the power on the LT Line when the said Lineman was working on the pole resulting in his death,” President of the Union, Tara Chand said. He appealed to the Chief Engineer, M and RE Wing Jammu to grant compensation of Rs. 10 lakh besides government job to one of family members of the deceased as he was the only earning hand in the family.
The meeting was attended by Vijay Kumar Gupta, Girdhari Lal, Surinder Kumar, Anil Salathia, Ashiq Hussain and Sham Lal.
