SAMBA: Life Insurance Agents Federation of India, Divisional Council (J and K), organised Agents Maha Sammelan/ Annual Convention on Friday at Hotel 17 Miles, Vijaypur in district Samba.
In the convention all India Secretary General of the Federation Shyamal Chakraborty was the Chief Guest, Satinder Singh Kala, Vice President HQ Delhi, Ram Naresh Tiwari, Secretary North Zone and Moti Singh, Vice President North Zone were the Guests of the Honour. Senior Divisional Manager Sales, Jia Lal Sharma and Divisional President of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers, Rakesh Magotra along with his colleagues were the other honourable guests.
Founder members of LIAFI, senior agents like Dinesh Khanna, Kavi Raj Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, R.K. Chirvi, B.L. Dubey, Surinder Jaswal,Avtar Singh, Ghanshyam Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Y.K. Choudhary, P.L Pandita, Manoj Kumar, G.L Kath and agents community from different branches of J and K State participated in this annual convention.
In the Maha Sammelan, Shyamal Chakraborty elaborated about the charter of demands of the agents federation and the federations achievements regarding those demands. He informed the gathering that due to the sustained efforts of the federation, the group insurances to all the agents who have completed minimum ten years of their agency is enhanced from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Chakraborty also stressed on the vision of LIC of India of insuring every citizen of India by 2020 and called upon the agents community to work day and night to achieve the goal.
Satinder Singh Kala spoke about the initiative taken by HQ Delhi and North Zone Secretary Ram Naresh Tiwari and assured to all India Secretary General about north zone’s commitment to LIAFI ideas and vision.
While the rest of the spokesperson informed the agents about the unique features of the insurance product range available with the LIC of India. On the occasion, floral tributes were paid to the departed stalwart like all India founder member of LIAFI and All India Secretary General late Ajoy Purokayastha, late Sat Pal Gupta, late Prem Sagar Sharma, who were the founder member of agents federation in Jammu and Kashmir. Other speakers who were present during the function -D.L Verma, Ravinder Kumar Sharma and Achyut Sharma.
