Leopard found dead in Bhadarwah

BHADARWAH: A three-year-old leopard was found dead in Dudwar Changa area of Tehsil Gandoh in district Doda on Sunday.
According to reports, children who spotted the beast, informed the police, which took the carcass in its custody for postmortem late afternoon.
SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta said that after receiving the information, we immediately reached the spot and shifted the carcass to Gandoh Hospital. According to preliminary investigation, it seems that one leg of the leopard got amputated in the trap and later the animal was shot at.
“As of now, we are waiting for the postmortem report, which is being conducted by a veterinary doctor at Gandoh,” SDPO added.
