JAMMU: Ladakh Samaj Sudhar Forum organised an impressive lecture session on topic ‘Child begging’ in the K.L Saigal Hall, Cultural Academic Complex here on Sunday.
Padamshri Awarded Jatinder Udhampuri, former Director Radio Kashmir Jammu, was the Chief Guest while Kuldeep Sharma, Member Central Social Welfare Board, presided over the function.
Suganda Mahajan (SDPO) Bakshi Nagar, Ab Gafoor Dar Employees Trade Union Forum, Ayash Arif prominent writer and artist , Syed Hashim Khakani, Usha Ram Pal, Dr Gopal Sharma and Kamal Sharma, Ab Rashid Gamgin, Sabia Mahajan, Dhnu Priya and Aratrika Razdan also spoke on the occasion.
Jugal Kishor Gupta, Chairman of the Forum presented welcome address.
The Literary Wing of the Form under the directions of Shashi Bhushan presented a play on topic ‘child begging’. Little child Tatvagya Bhargav acted as child beggar which was lauded by the participants. The child artist was honored by the cash prize and trophy.
K.A Dewani, State President expressed grief that though all the religions and religious leaders advocate work in order to earn and live a simple life with honor, status and dignity, but it is very unfortunate that intentionally or unintentionally some people choose begging to live.
“It is ripe time to ban the child begging and the children begging are rehabilitated and arrangements are made for their education and skilled/technical knowhow to enable them to live an independent life,” he added.

Others who were presented include C.L Koul President Jammu Provence, Neetu Kholi, C.P Arora President West Jammu, Anil Razdan Press Secretary, Subash Chander Senior Executive member, Shahida Ladakhi.
