Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2016 Legal Star, Legal Riders enter in semis

JAMMU: Legal Star and Legal Riders qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2016.
Earlier, Legal Star defeated Clang Kings XI and Legal Rider outplayed Avenger XI in the quarterfinals, here on Sunday.
In first quarterfinal, Legal Star thrashed Clang Kings XI by 34 runs. Legal Star, batting first, scored 136 runs in the quota of 12 overs. A.P Singh played a match winning inning of 47 runs while Sami added 24 runs and Surinder Singh (20) and Pranav Kohli (19) were other contributors. Sachin picked three wickets while Anil and Vikas shared apiece for Clang Kings XI. Chasing the target, Clang Kings managed to score 102 runs. Sachin Sharma (42) and Salil (20) runs were the top scorers. A.P Singh and Frahan shared one wicket each for Legal Star.
In another quarterfinal, Legal Rider registered eight wickets win over Avenger XI.Legal Rider after winning the toss chose to ball first. Avenger XI scored 106 runs in 12 overs. Satish was the top scorer with 43 runs while Majid added 23 to the total. Vikram grabbed three wickets while Lovesh and Sarjeevan shared one each for Legal Rider. Chasing the target, Legal Rider with the help of Vikram Singh’s unbeaten 54 runs smashed 108 runs for the loss of two wickets. Bhanu Pratap Singh scored 38 runs. Rafakat and Tarez shared one wicket each.
Meanwhile in league match played today, Dabang XI trounced Great Warrior by 62 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Dabang XI set a target of 147 runs in 12 overs. Lokesh played an inning of 49 runs followed by Akashy Koul and Amarjeet, who scored 42 and 33 runs respectively. For Great Warrior, Deepak bagged two wickets while Rohit Pandit and Denish shared one each. In reply, Great Warrior failed to chase the target and was bundled out for 85 runs. Dinesh (28), Pawan (10) and Deepak (10) runs were the main scorers. Azhar Usman was the pick of the bowlers, who picked four wickets while Jimmy grabbed three wickets.
