Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2016 gets underway

JAMMU: Five matches were played on the second day of Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2016 which got underway, here on Saturday.
In the first match of the day, Legal Riders trounced Legal Hawks by nine wickets.
Legal Hawks, after winning the toss chose to bat first, scored 92 runs in the 10 overs. Ankit played a knock of 50 runs and Rajan Radhey scored 10. Sidharth took two wickets for Legal Riders. Chasing the target, Legal Riders played 93 runs for the loss of one wicket. Bhanu was the top scorer with 53 runs, Nikash added 23 runs. Rajan took one wicket.
In another match, Royal XI outplayed Golden Heartz XI by seven wickets. Golden Heartz, batting first, set a target of 97 runs in 10 overs. Lovanya and Arvind Khajuria made 22 runs each while Ranjit added 20 runs. Aditya took three wickets and Rohit Gupta picked one. In reply, Royal XI chased a target for the loss of three wickets. Rahul (38) and Pankaj (23) runs were the main scorers. Ranjeet and Arvind Khajuria shared one wicket each for opponent. Carbeans XI registered 44-run won over Nasir XI in this match. Batting first, Carbeans XI with the help of Usman 46 runs inning set a target of 127 runs in 10 overs. Satwant also contributed 31 runs. Nadeem Mirza, M.S Qureshi and Ravinder shared apiece each. Chasing the target, Nasir XI managed to score 83 runs in allotted overs. Varun (35) and Bhanu Singh Bandral (17) runs was the top scorers. Sidharth and Usman took one wicket each.
Similarly, Paradise XI beat Dogra XI by 42 runs. Paradise XI scored 122 runs in the quota of 12 overs. Vikash was the top scorer with 47 runs followed by Sahil Aggarwal scored 26 runs and Guru Pratap Singh, who scored 26 and 21 respectively. Nitin Gupta took two wicket while Surinder Chib and Ashwani shared one 1 each for Dogra XI. In reply, Dogra XI was bundled out for 80 runs. Sandeep Slathia played a inning of 28 runs while Munish Choudhary added 19 to the total. Sahil Aggarwal picked three wickets while Ajay Singh Manhas and Amit Chadha shared two each.
In the last match of the day, Great Warriors thrashed Golden Heartz XI by nine wickets.
Golden Heartz XI after winning the toss chose to bat first and scored 51 runs. Arvind Khajuria (22) and S.K Shukla (16) runs were the main scorers. Deepak grabbed two wickets while Rohit took one for Great Warriors. Chasing the target Great Warriors scored 55 runs for the loss of one wickets. Dinesh was the top scorer with 29 runs while Sahil Gupta scored 16 runs. Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi took a lone wicket.
