Last date for filing advance tax extended upto 15th Dec

IT COMMISSIONERJAMMU: In view of the recent floods and large scale devastation, the filing advance tax  direct Taxes (CBDT) has decided to extend the last date for filing of advance tax for the financial year 2014-15 from 15th September, 2014 to 15th December, 2014 in case of all the assesses corporate and other than corporate in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was informed to the media by A. K. Thatai, Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Jammu stating that in view of various representations which he got from Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industries, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries, NIRC, Jammu Chapter and other various section and cross section of traders and tax payers, this request was made to the CBDT, strongly supporting their cause and the CBDT has considered this by issuing an order to this effect under section 119 (2)(a) on 18.09.2014 vide F. No. 385/08/2013-IT(B).
CBDT has already extended the date of filing of return from 30th September, 2014 to 30th November, 2014 vide an earlier order dated 16.09.2014. This relates to the assesses in the state of Jammu & Kashmir who as per clause (a) of Explanation
