JAMMU: The 47th KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) Regional Sports Meet in under-14 and under-19 of Kabaddi and all age groups of Chess and Yoga concluded on Tuesday at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No. 1 Gandhi Nagar, here.
In the valedictory function of the two-day meet, Principal of host KV 1 Jammu, T.R Choudhary was Chief Guest, who gave away the title trophies and other individual prizes to the winning teams and players.
Speaking to the gathering, Choudhary congratulated the winning teams and encouraged those who could not make it to the first three positions. He hoped that the participants of KVS Jammu Region will perform better in the upcoming KVS Nationals.
The list of selected players for the KVS Nationals were also declared by the penal of selectors constituted for the purpose.
In all, 300 students and escorts from Kendriya Vidyalayas situated in J and K state, parts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab participated in this sports meet.
