Kuleed-Pohie Road in miserable condition; residents demand blacktopping

KISHTWAR: Tall claims of State Government and PWD Department to provide better road connectivity in whole State proved only an eyewash as the ground situation is totally different in district Kishtwar.
According to reports, a link road near Mini Secretariat Kishtwar(New DC Office) connecting Pohie, Bandarna and PDC Colony areas inhabited by more than 200 household is in miserable condition allegedly due to careless and pathetic attitude of concerned authorities.
Reports said that, locals especially employees and students who travel on this road on daily basis face lots of problems due to its dilapidated condition.
A local resident of the area Ramesh Rana criticised the State Government over dilapidated condition of road and demanded immediate black-topping of it.
Noor Hussain Ex.Sarpanch said that in wet season,the road becomes full of water logging due to which commuters especially children face inconvenience.
“The concerned department should wake up from their deep slumber and start blacktopping of the road at the earliest,” he demanded.
Residents rued that blacktopping of most of the roads has been taken up across the State but the government has yet again neglected Kuleeed- Pohie Road and demanded immediate black topping of the road.
